People, often, think that the forgiveness is symtomp of coward people. IS it really true?
Just as the Indira Gandhi’s quote reads, Forgiveness is definitely the virtue of the brave. Those who are courageous enough only can forgive those who have sinned against them. Everywhere we can see people who are jealous of others and do all sorts of things to pull their own people down. If people start having a grudge towards others, what will the condition? There will be a complete chaos in the society.
Don’t you think if you bear a grudge towards others, you are destroying yourself?
The more you think about the people whom you hate it will have a serious effect on your own health. Just as Swami Vivekananda rightfully said, anger is the punishment you give to yourself for somebody else’s mistakes. It is quite natural for people to forget to forgive such people.
But, if you are able to forgive such people, it means that you are mentally strong. How much ever the friction force may be, how much ever some people might have suffered because of the wrongdoer’s actions, they stop feeling angry at others because it brings happiness and cleanses their soul. It will definitely help them save a lot of energy by stopping to think about these people.
In developing this trait, you have to first realize that there are two categories of people. Some people think about themselves only. Some people always put others in the first place and think about themselves secondly. It is wise to avoid the first category of people and get more and more acquainted with the second category people to find peace in life. Otherwise, our life will be a total mess.
There is another reason why you should forgive such people. Sometimes, the hardship these people might be undergoing, force them to behave rudely. If you start taking revenge on them, it will further worsen their situation. Forgiving others have always a been great trait that everyone has to develop to lead a happy life.
