London, July 30: All the Premier League clubs have upped their gear for the next year to strengthen their squad and have already managed to get some of their targets.
Top Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and all the other big names have already added superstars like Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, Benjamin Mendy, Mohammed Salah and others to their ranks.
But in between only one club has not yet made a single signing, that is last year’s runners-up Tottenham Hotspur.
The London side have been linked with various names throughout the window, however, were unable to sign any player till now and now to their misery, their situation has again got worse after another of their target made a move elsewhere.
According to Estudiantes chairman Juan Sebastian Veron, Tottenham target defender Juan Foyth has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain for a fee in excess of €10 million snubbing a chance to move to Premier League.
The 19-year-old Argentine had been a target for Tottenham Hotspur for some time and they initially started the hunt for his signature, however, the club’s director Veron has now revealed that the French giant has agreed to terms with the teenager and are on the verge of signing the Under-20 Argentina international ahead of Spurs.
‘We already have an agreement between PSG and Estudiantes for Juan,’ Veron told Radio Continental. ‘All that is left is for his representatives to strike a deal.’
The former Manchester United player now a chairman at the Argentine club Veron also added: ‘Foyth’s sale will be for more than €10m.’
The Argentina Under-20 international only broke into the Estudiantes senior side this year and according to many, the defender has huge potential to be one of the best.
Fyoth will join the club as the third signing after Dani Alves and Yuri Berchiche and with only three centre-backs ahead of him at the club, the young defender will surely get a chance to show his ability next season at Parc des Princes.
